for auction is an antique sterling silver vesta/match safe. Plain style. Full British hallmarks for Birmingham, date letter for 1898, JG maker mark for John Gilbert, and sterling silver. Also a K hallmark.
A few dings, but opens and closes well. Otherwise wear from age, but great condition.
Measures about 1.75" x 1 5/8" without the bales.
Total weight is 26.5 grams.
