This item in my EBAY store is an EAPG CLEAR  "ART"  LARGE HIGH STANDARD FTD. COVERED COMPOTE.   This Early American Pattern Glass clear "ART" large high standard ftd. covered compote is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass that is in fair condition, there is a small chip on the inside of this lid, when this lid is sitting on the compote bottom this small chip can not be seen, this is the only issue for this 100 year old piece of glass, there are no cracks, scratches and no glass staining;   I've priced this "ART" high standard compote accordingly, this is the largest compote in this "ART" pattern of three sizes;   I may also add that this

This Early American Pattern Glass clear "ART" large high standard ftd. covered compote that I have here does have those EAPG characteristics of the EAPG glass making process having stress marks, straw marks and air bubbles that is often seen inside the glass of Early American Pattern Glass, these characteristics that I just mentioned to you are and can be seen inside the glass of this "ART" high standard ftd. covered compote, I must special mention that there are numerous air bubbles inside the glass of this particular "ART" compote, these characteristics were done during the production of this "ART" compote and is not considered damage, please, any questions at all please e-mail me, this compote is a beauty and heavy to hold, was surely cherrished by the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty, like I said this is the largest compote of three sizes;   I want to mention that the stem is hollow and straight as seen in the photos, I see no damage around the lid finial and the rest of the glass feels finger free with the only issue of the tiny chip on the inside of the lid;   This "ART" high standard ftd. covered compote is non-flint glass having many numerous other table ware items that were produced in this "ART" pattern that was produced by "Adams & Company out of Pittsburgh, Pa. around 1889";   This large and highly collected "ART" pattern can be seen in one of my many reference materials, one by "Reilly & Jenks" the book "EARLY AMERICAN PATTERN GLASS COLLECTOR'S IDENTIFICATION & PRICE GUIDE" show and talk about this very large and highly collected pattern on pages #25 - #27;   Numerous (all) photos were taken outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds turning this (2) piece compote in numerous angles and positions to show pattern, condition, glass clarity and size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.   When using a cell phone or mobile device please click on "see full description" to see more photos and measurements;   Insurance is bought at the USPS at the time of shipment to you, the cost of the shipping is .25 and the cost of insurance is .75.   All stickers on MY clear EAPG  "ART"  large high standard ftd. covered compote sent to you must remain on MY
